Management of Outdoor parking lots without barriers

Currently, we have a working project using this solution for a ski resort parking lot in the French Alps. The customer had difficulty in monitoring the available slots in the outdoor parking area due to the non-existence of control barriers and challenging factors like snow.

We implemented a very simple and effective solution using a single sensor installed overlooking the access road to the parking lot. Our solution can detect and differentiate type of vehicles and their direction of travel to calculate the real time parking availability. This is published on a web platform for use by parking lot users and the detailed information in the form of tables and graphs is available for use by the ski resort management for their operations and future planning.
